Five Love Africa Films Awarded at International Film Festival

We are proud to announce that all five of our film submissions into the International Tourism Film Festival Africa took home awards at the ceremony held in Johannesburg on Friday, 5 June.

Working alongside partners across tourism, conservation and hospitality, the films were awarded three Gold Awards and two Silver Awards across a range of categories, celebrating excellence in destination storytelling, tourism marketing and conservation communication.

This year, the festival received 438 entries from 47 countries, which were evaluated by a distinguished panel of 48 judges representing the film, advertising, marketing and tourism industries.

Gold Award Winners

FOXES’ FARMS
GOLD: Sustainable & Responsible Tourism Category

Produced with Foxes Safari Camps, this film highlights the golden thread that weaves agriculture, community development and conservation within their business model, highlighting how true responsible tourism can create lasting impact beyond the safari experience.

“My family’s efforts have spanned more than 45 years, and I am incredibly proud that, through film, we can finally share our story with the world. These awards are recognition not only of the films themselves, but of decades of dedication to conservation, hospitality, farming, and the people who have helped us along the way.” – Oliver Fox, Marketing & Operations, Foxes Safari Camps

TOUCHING THE SKY
GOLD: Tourism Services Category

Produced with Serengeti Balloon Safaris, this film tells the story behind one of East Africa’s most celebrated tourism experiences, shifting the narrative from the activity itself to the people, heritage and legacy that have shaped the company over decades.

“What is so important about this film is that we switch from selling the experience to selling the philosophy of the company. This is a long-term deeper strategy which we believe creates better loyalty. Selling the story of the brand feels right at this time.” John Corse – Managing Director, Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

STANLEY’S KOPJE
GOLD: Safari & Tourism Category

Produced with Foxes Safari Camps, Stanley’s Kopje showcases one of only three camps within the borders of Mikumi National Park in Southern Tanzania. This short film captures the essence of the destination, the landscape, and the family-owned and run tented camp.
