We are thrilled to announce that Love Africa Marketing, together with our partners, has won three Gold Awards at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) Awards for two films we produced.
On Friday 5 May, Love Africa Marketing attended the 5th Edition of the ITFFA Awards at The Labia Theatre in Cape Town and accepted three Gold Awards for ‘Making CONTACT’ and ‘There is Power in our Mountains’. The competition was fierce, with 378 entries from 59 African countries around the world, making these results incredibly exciting for our teams.
‘Making CONTACT’ with Hill’s Pet Nutrition was awarded Gold for episode 5 and the series of short films as a whole for best ‘Doc and TV Series’ under the category Wildlife and Conservation. The doccie series was filmed in partnership with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, South African National Parks, Project Watchdog, and Wildlife ACT.
This five-part mini-documentary series celebrates and profiles anti-poaching K9 units in South Africa’s nature reserves and their impact in protecting wild spaces. Filmed in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, Kruger National Park and Cape Point, the series tells the personal stories of five dogs and their handlers, highlighting the companionship, perseverance and connection between them and the important link with our natural environment.
‘There is Power in our Mountains’, a short film with Semonkong Lodge was awarded the Gold Award for best Tourism Video under the category Tourism Product – Adventure Tourism.
This short film captures the essence of Lesotho’s unique overnight trekking adventure offered by Semonkong Lodge. The film highlights Lesotho as a destination and features their local guides and packhorse teams that provide an immersive experience of mountain life and Basotho culture.
